C. Joseph Vijay transitioned from a legendary 33-year career in Tamil cinema to become the ninth Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. After building a massive grassroots network through his fan club, Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, he launched the political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) in February 2024 and secured a historic electoral victory in May 2026.
